Put A Canon Manual Lens On A Canon Digital Slr

Canon offers a high-end digital processor in their digital SLRs that allow regular Canon manual lenses to be used on the digital body. Using manual Canon lenses saves a user quite a bit of money, as digital lenses are very costly. However, the exposure and focal length differs, so when using a manual lens on a digital SLR you must accommodate for the difference in focal length. Canon has kept their simplicity of changing lenses the same through the 35-mm manual SLRs to their digital SLRs; this makes using manual lenses on your digital Canon SLR easy.

Instructions

1. Turn the Canon digital SLR camera off before removing or mounting any lenses.

2. Remove any current lenses by pressing the lens release button located on the body of the camera to the left of the lens. Twist the lens slowly until it unlocks and is easily removed.

3. Position the Canon manual lens so the red dots on the lens and camera body are lined up with each other. Twist the lens slowly to the right until the lens locks into place. The lens is now installed and ready for use.
