Troubleshoot A Pentax Optio E10

The Pentax Optio E10 is a small "point-and-shoot" camera that takes pictures up to a 6-mega-pixel resolution. It features a 2 ½-inch LCD screen and will allow 3X-zoom. The camera contains approximately 10 megabytes of storage space and can utilize an additional SD memory card to allow for more pictures before uploading to your computer. The camera will take 320-by-240 video in small AVI clips.

Instructions

1. Plug in the AC adapter power cord or change the AA batteries -- if the camera will not turn on. If using batteries, insure they are inserted the correctly and make sure the battery compartment cover is fully closed.

2. Replace the batteries or attach the power cord - if the camera suddenly shuts off. Also, check the settings to make sure you have the auto shut-off option turned off.

3. Replace the memory card if the camera refuses to take pictures. Upload the pictures to your computer and delete the images on the existing card.

4. Replace the memory card or delete images if you cannot perform continuous picture shooting with the camera. Continuous shooting requires space on the SD card to store the pictures.

5. Check your USB cable connections if you are having difficulty transferring pictures to your computer. Make sure you have installed the USB driver included with the camera software on your computer.
