Cingular customers who are signed up for calling plans with a limited number of minutes each month can check the balance of their minutes anytime from their Cingular phone. The number of remaining minutes that the customer has on the calling plan will be sent in a text message. Whether you have a texting plan or not with your CIngular account, the minute-balance message will not count as a text message and will be free. You can check the remaining minutes on your Cingular phone an unlimited number of times.
Instructions
1. Type "*646#" on your cell phone's key pad.
2. Press the "Send" key on your Cingular or AT&T cell phone.
3. Wait 10 seconds before pressing the "End" key on your phone to hang up the call.
4. Wait 30 seconds for the text message with your minute balance to be sent.
5. Press the "OK" button on your phone to view the minute report when it arrives in a text message. The message will break down each category of your calling plan and how many minutes you have remaining.
