Access A Zune With Other Software

Access a Zune With Other Software

By default, Zune players come with software that lets you sync files to your player. However, you can use Windows Media Player as an alternative. Because Windows Media Player and Zune MP3 players are Microsoft devices, they communicate and make it simple to upload your favorite music, videos and pictures to your player.

Instructions

1. Download and install the latest version of Windows Media Player (See Resources below).

2. Connect your Zune to the computer using the supplied USB cable and launch Windows Media Player by clicking the Star" button and then "Windows Media Player." You should see your Zune player on the left panel of Windows Media Player.

3. Click the "File" menu and then "Add to library." Select the media file you want to upload to your player and import it to the Windows Media Player library. Repeat this process to upload additional media files.

4. Right-click "Playlist" on the left panel and click "Create playlist." Name the playlist whatever you want. Click the "Library" tab on the left panel. You should see the media files you have uploaded to the Windows Media Player library.

5. Click the media files and drag them to the playlist you created. When you are done uploading media files, click the "Sync" button on the top. You should see the sync list on the right panel.

6. Drag the playlist containing the media files to the "Sync list." Click "Start sync" to upload the files to your Zune.
