The 3G weighs 4.7 ounces and the 3GS weighs 4.8 ounces. Both phones have lithium ion batteries capable of lasting 12 days and 12 hours on standby mode. During constant usage, the 3G battery lasts up to 10 hours and the 3GS battery lasts up to 12 hours. You can play music on the 3G for up to 24 hours and on 3GS for up to 30 hours.
