Your RCA RS2625 stereo system can play CDs and the radio in high-quality sound. Sometimes things may go wrong with the system: It may not turn on, a CD may skip, no sound may issue forth or the radio reception may be poor. Even so, troubleshooting these and other issues is not difficult. Start with a handy list designed to make your RCA stereo system diagnosis easier.


Instructions


1. Verify that the power plug is securely plugged into the wall outlet if the system will not turn on. If it is secure, unplug the unit, wait for a minute, and then replug it. If your system still will not turn on, try another wall outlet.


2. Clean the CD you are trying to play with a soft, clean cloth if it skips. Wipe the cloth inward to outward to pull the dust out and away from the center of the disc. Move the speakers at least 3 feet apart from each other. Place the main unit on another surface.

4. Press the "Tuner" button if the CD player will not work or change discs when you press the "Disc Skip" button. Press the "CD" or "Disc Skip" button again to try to activate the desired feature.


5. Move the antenna until the stereo system emits a clearer sound if you hear poor radio reception. Turn off nearby vacuum cleaners, fluorescent lights, microwaves and hair dryers. These appliances may interfere with radio reception.








6. Verify that the CD you want to hear is placed label-side up in the tray if the disc will not play. Verify that "Pause" is not pressed and the "CD" button is pressed. Try another disc to confirm that the problem lies with the disc or with something else.


7. Move closer to the system if the remote control will not work. Replace both batteries in the remote control after one month of use. Remove items that obstruct the direct path between the system's infrared signal and the remote control.

History Of The Camera Flash

The humble camera flash has a long history.








Cameras have been recording images for more than 150 years, and for much of that time photographers have needed artificial light to aid in the exposure of their art. The flashes that many people take for granted today are the result of generations of experimentation and innovation. Each major advance in camera flashes borrowed from the previous generation, eventually resulting in the flash on your home camera.








Earliest Flashes


In the earliest days of photography, the only alternative to sunlight was a pan of magnesium powder. Magnesium, which is highly flammable, burned very quickly with a bright flash of light. This powder had to be manually ignited by the photographer just as the photograph was taken. Because the powder was exposed, photographers could be badly burned if too much was used or if the pan tipped over as the magnesium was ignited.


Flash Bulbs


Flash bulbs were developed due to the unsafe nature of loose magnesium powder. These glass bulbs contained magnesium filaments in a glass bulb, which was filled with pure oxygen. When the filaments were ignited electrically they burned incredibly rapidly in the oxygen, producing a bright flash. These flash bulbs could only be used once, but they eliminated the danger of photographers being burned. Later, flash bulbs were covered in a blue coating to better simulate natural sunlight.


Multiple-Use Flashes


Camera companies such as Kodak began experimenting with multiple-use flashes in the 1960s. The flashcube contained four separate flashes, each ignited electrically by a sensor on the camera's shutter. Each small flash had a mirrored surface behind the flash bulb to focus all of the light in a single direction, allowing the flash bulb to be greatly reduced in size. This concept was later adapted into strip flashes, which contained ten or more flashes in a single unit. These multiple-use flashes allowed photographers to take more photos without worrying about constant flash replacement.


Modern Flashes


Electronic flashes are used in modern cameras, which can be used thousands of times without needing to be replaced. These flashes are filled with xenon gas, across which an electric spark is passed to produce a brief, brilliant flash of light. Modern flashes still employ a mirrored backing to keep the size small, and are often built into consumer cameras. Professional flashes are available in different intensities and are usually separate units that are attached to the camera as needed by the photographer.

Once the devices are connected, test that both the phone and the headset are working properly together. First, place the headset in your ear. Dial a number on the phone and press "Send." If you can hear ringing, the devices are connected properly and ready for use.


If the connection was not successful, repeat the previous steps and try again. Make sure the indicator light is glowing purple and is steady. If you have connected the headset to a previous device, make sure that device is turned off so as not to interfere with the connection procedure. Once the other device is off, close and reopen the boom to enter pairing mode.

1. Turn off your phone.


2. Remove the back cover on your phone's chassis. The exact process can vary, depending on your LG phone's model, but look for a release groove or notch that allows the cover to be removed.


3. Use your fingers to pull the LG's old battery out from its chassis. Most phones feature a finger-shaped groove along one side of the battery bay, allowing you to get a better grip on the physical battery.

1. Retrieve lost data from an SD card using File Recovery 4, freeware available to download online. After File Recovery 4 has downloaded, run the program. Insert your SD card into your laptop or desktop's SD card reader. Choose the SD card in the drive selection screen. The program will display a list of thumbnails of deleted items on the SD card. Pick the SD card files you want to recover and click the location you want to send them to.


2. Download Recuva, a freeware data recovery program, from the Internet. Push your SD card into the SD card reader in your computer. Run the Recuva program. Select the SD card when prompted to choose a drive. Recuva will automatically scan the SD card for deleted files and will display them as a list. Choose the SD card files you want to retrieve and click "Restore."








3. Use the data recovery program FileRestorePlus to recover deleted files from an SD card. Download FileRestorePlus for free online and run the program. Put your SD card into the reader on your computer. Choose the SD card from the drive selection menu, and the program will generate a list of files that have been deleted from the SD card. Highlight to select the files that you want to retrieve. The program will automatically restore the files and then close.

Converting cassette music to a CD-ROM requires an analog-to-digital converter built into the sound cards of modern computers to process the signal from a tape deck into the computer, where the music files can then be burned to a disc. Instructions

Troubleshoot An Aiwa Mini Stereo Cd Changer

A mini Aiwa stereo system consists of dual tape decks, a compact disc (CD) player and FM and AM radio. The extra tape deck comes in handy for CD duplication, tape duplication or a radio recording. On some models, the speakers can be attached or removed. After the system is set up and powered, you might experience some setbacks with power, radio reception, CD playback or speaker connection. Each can be fixed with basic maintenance, reconnection or cleaning.


Instructions








1. Unplug the power cord from the power source to reset the connection if the stereo doesn't turn on. The power cord might be compromised. Inspect the power cord for damage, such as tears, dents or frays. If the cord is damaged, replace it. Plug an alternate electrical device into the power outlet to test it. Unplug the device and plug the Aiwa back in.


2. Fold back the speaker tabs for the two connected speakers and remove the wires if the sound doesn't work. Inspect the tips of the wires to confirm that just the tips are stripped of the rubber casing enough so that only metal is inserted into the terminals. Insert the white striped wire of the right speaker into the "+" terminal of the "R" column of the speaker section on the back of the Aiwa and close the tab. Insert the black wire of the right speaker into the "-" terminal of the "R" column and close the tab. Perform the same function on the left speaker in the "L" column.


3. Fold back the FM and AM antenna tabs on the back of the Aiwa and remove the antenna wires if reception is poor. Inspect the tips of the wires to confirm that the tips are stripped enough so that none of the rubber casing is folded into the terminal. Insert both of the FM and AM wires into the "FM" and "AM" terminals respectively. Close the tabs. Move the antennas around while the corresponding radio station plays to determine the best location for reception. Mount the FM antenna onto the wall in a T formation.


4. Push the eject button on the CD player or changer and remove the problem CD from the chamber. Inspect the disc for grime or blockage. If the disc is dirty, moisten a soft cloth with CD cleaner and wipe the disc from center to the outer edges. Place the dry CD into the chamber with the playable side face down and the label side face up.


5. Press the power button to turn off the Aiwa as a first step to performing a system reset. Perform a reset if an error occurs on the display or either of the cassette decks. Push the power button and the clear button at the same time. All settings are reverted back to default and the system is reset.

Lighting a studio can have advantages and disadvantages.


Filming inside a studio provides an element of control that filming outside does not allow. This is an enormous advantage for setting up a scene. Lighting is a prime element in establishing a shot, and understanding how lighting works is an elementary skill for a television studio crew. There are several setups and techniques that make lighting a studio quick, easy and effective.


Three-point Setup


The basic lighting configuration, three-point setup, includes three primary lights. The key light is the prime source of illumination. This light is normally twice as bright as any other source, and is used to highlight details and provide dimension to the subject. The key light should be moderately bright and situated about 45 degrees to the side and above the subject.


The fill light works to expose hidden details. It is placed opposite of the key light and opens, but doesn't eliminate, shadows by lighting the dark side of a subject.


Finally, the back light sits 45 degrees above and behind the subject. This light can range in brightness and is changed depending upon the reflective nature and color of the subject.


Lighting for Motion


When the subject moves, whether it be from one location to another or to several different spots, the standard three-point setup may not work. With subjects in motion, it is not practical or desirable to have all three lighting components for the entire path. It is more important to provide steady, overall light along the path. This can be done in several ways.


If the path is short, the lighting of area one and two can be overlapped or identically arranged to create the illusion of continuity to the viewer. If the path is wide, or there is more than one movement, fill lights can be used to light the path and keep it reasonably constant. In this situation, back lighting is usually not required. When movement is expected to be random, base lighting can be used. This can be designed to keep all shadows at an aesthetic contrast, then key and back lights are strategically added, depending on the camera position.


Chroma Key


Used primarily for news and weather forecasts, chroma key combines two images to make one. Commonly known as "green screen," Chroma key allows meteorologists to show maps and the movement of storms by combining the filmed image with an electronic component. The screen can either be green or blue, and must be lit very specifically to prevent glare or other technical problems. Lighting is essential, and must be adjusted to rid the studio of shadows, while the background must be lit evenly. On-air personalities must also be conscious of colors, especially those they are wearing. Any clothing similar in color to the screen will be rendered see-through.

Use a microfiber cloth to remove dirt from a digital camera lens.


When daily dirt, fingerprints and dried raindrops collect on your digital camera lens, the resulting build-up can add a slightly hazy, unclear look to your images. Your digital photographs are only as clear as your camera lens. Cleaning your digital camera lenses and accessories gives you a smudge-free chance at creating sharp photos.


Cleaning Supplies


Before cleaning your digital camera lenses, stock up on photography-approved cleaning supplies. Using a dish towel, the cuff of your shirt or chemically-treated eyeglass cleaning tissues can potentially scratch a camera lens. Instead, have a hurricane-style bulb blower with brush attachment, soft lint-free microfiber cloth, photography lens cleaning tissues and camera lens cleaning fluid handy.


Cleaning Lenses








Start by using the bulb blower and brush attachment to remove any visible pieces of dirt. Blow and brush the debris off the lens rather than picking at it to avoid scratching the lens. Next, moisten a photography lens cleaning tissue or microfiber cloth with a few drops of lens cleaning fluid. Gently rub the lens with the moist tissue or cloth in a circular motion. Start at the center of the lens and work outward. Dry the lens by using clean, dry lens tissues or a microfiber cloth and the same circular motion. Follow this same cleaning procedure with digital camera lens accessories -- including lens hoods, lens caps or filters -- to reduce the spread of dust or fine grains of dirt to the newly cleaned lens.


Precautions


When rubbing the lens, don't press too hard. This can cause tiny pieces of dirt captured by the lens cleaning tissue or cloth to create fine scratches on the lens. If the lens still appears dirty, avoid the temptation to spray cleaning liquid directly on the lens. Excess moisture can seep into the lens and cause a moisture build-up --and later rust or mold -- on the internal elements. Repeat the cleaning process a few times until the lens looks clean or have the lens professionally cleaned.


Preventative Measures


In addition to using a lens cap when storing the lens, attaching a UV or skylight filter to the end of your digital camera lens for everyday use provides a layer of protection between the lens and the world. Although designers created these two filter types to reduce the haziness of ultraviolet rays and enhance sky tones, filters also act as inexpensive insurance policies against sticky children's fingers or an accidental splash of soda on the camera lens. Since digital camera lenses have a protective coating on the outermost lens element, avoid the need to clean it by using lens filters.

Connect My Zenith Dtt901 To A Tape Recorder

The Zenith DTT901 is a digital TV tuner converter box. It's used to retrofit old model analog TV sets with an ATSC (digital) tuner. While the Zenith DTT901 is meant to be hooked up to a TV set, VCR or DVD recorder, the DTT901 can also be connected to other audio and video devices. For example, if there is a concert or some other event airing on TV that you would like to make an audio cassette recording of, it's very easy to connect the audio output from the Zenith DTT901 to the input of a tape recorder.








Instructions


Tape Recorders with RCA Inputs


1. Insert one end of the RCA audio cable with the white plugs into the white RCA output jack labeled "Audio L" on the back of the converter. Plug the other end of this cable into the white RCA input jack on the back of the tape recorder.








2. Plug one end of the RCA audio cable with the red plugs into the red RCA output jack labeled "Audio R" on the back of the converter. Plug the other end of this cable into the red RCA input jack on the back of the tape recorder.


3. Turn on the converter box and the TV it is hooked up to. Turn on the tape recorder.


4. Insert a blank audio cassette into the tape recorder. Press "Record" plus "Pause" on the tape recorder to place it in record-standby mode. If everything is hooked up properly you should not only be able to hear audio from the converter box through the TV, but also through the tape recorder speakers. The signal meter on the tape recorder should also be moving. If the signal is too low or too high, adjust the tape recorder's input level. This is usually accomplished by turning an input level dial, located somewhere on the face of the tape recorder, clock-wise to increase the input leave and counter-clockwise to decrease the input level.

5. Insert the red RCA plug, located on one end of the stereo to RCA cable, into the red RCA output jack labeled "Audio R" on the back of the converter. Insert the white RCA plug into the white RCA output jack labeled "Audio L" on the back of the converter.


6. Plug the stereo plug, located on the other end of the stereo to RCA cable, into the stereo input jack on the tape recorder.


7. Turn on the converter box and the TV it is connected to. Turn on the tape recorder.


8. Insert a blank audio cassette into the tape recorder. Press "Record" plus "Pause" on the tape recorder to place it in record-standby mode. If everything is hooked up properly you should not only be able to hear audio from the converter box through the TV, but also through the tape recorder speakers.

If you have a box camera and some 120 film, you can shortly be on your way to taking photographs in the exact same fashion as many people of the early 20th and late 19th centuries.


Instructions


1. Unlatch the hook located on the side of the camera.


2. Pull the winder in an outward motion until you hear it click.


3. Remove the cartridge from the box.


4. Place an empty spool into the take-up side of the film cartridge chamber. There are two sides on the cartridge, one that has a hole in it, and one that doesn't. The spool goes into the chamber that has a hole in it.


5. Remove all tape from the 120 film and place it into the film cartridge on the opposite side of the spool.


6. Begin pulling the end of the paper lead from the film up and around the length of the cartridge toward the spool. Make sure to thread it on the outside of the roller pins when you're pulling it.


7. Insert the tab on the end of the film into the spool. Remove the spool temporarily from its chamber to tighten the film, if necessary. Make sure the film is as tight as you can get it.


8. Insert the cartridge back into the camera. Press the winder back in and hook the latch back on. Turn the winder until you see the number "1" in your picture counter.

Wire A Parallel Mono Amp

Wiring speakers in parallel to a mono amplifier is a common way of adding multiple subwoofers into a car audio system. Because the mono amplifier typically only has one set of speaker output terminals, it's necessary to connect the multiple speakers using a specific wiring method. The principle is simply to connect the positive speaker amplifier to the positive terminals of the speakers (and the same with the negative).


Instructions


1. Cut lengths of speaker wire long enough to reach the speakers you'll be wiring. In the case of two speakers being connected to the mono amplifier, you'll need one length of speaker wire to go from the amplifier to the first speaker, and another length to go from the first speaker to the second speaker.








2. Strip the insulation off of the positive and negative leads of both end of each piece of speaker wire, so that each piece of wire has 1/2 inch of bare wire exposed on the individual leads.


3. Connect the positive and negative leads of the first piece of speaker wire to the respective positive and negative speaker output terminals of the amplifier. For most amplifiers, loosen the screws in the terminals, slide the bare end of the wire under, and tighten down. Some amplifiers will have hex screws that open a hole when they are loosened. In that case, loosen the hex screws, slide the wire in, and tighten down.


4. Take your second piece of speaker wire and connect the positive and negative leads to the terminals of the second subwoofer. Twist the subwoofer box's speaker terminals counterclockwise to loosen, slip the wire in the opening that's revealed, and tighten down.








5. Take the loose ends of the first and second pieces of speaker wire, and twist together the positive and negative leads to make each a single connection. Then loosen the speaker terminals for the first subwoofer, and insert the combined positive and negative leads into the respective terminals. Tighten the terminals to secure the wires. You've now connected two subwoofers in parallel from a mono amplifier.

Gettys N350 Servo Drive Instructions

The Gettys N350 Servo Drive is a three-phase, half wave amplifier/controller for servo motors found inside industrial shop machines, like lathes. The Getty's N350 features a line-to-line voltage rating of 240-300 volts of alternating current and a servo motor with 33-amp rating. The servo drive is essentially a type of rectifier that converts alternating current to direct current. Instructions


1. Unplug the power cord to the shop machine the Gettys drive is installed in.


2. Remove the front panel from the lathe or shop machine with a Phillips screwdriver.


3. Slide the old servo drive from its bus slot by pulling it upwards. Slide the Gettys N350 into the now-empty bus slot, or port.


4. Hold the access panel back in place and replace the retaining screws with the screwdriver.


5. Plug the lathe or shop machine back into an electrical outlet.

Instructions


1. Choose a photo. You want a wallet sized photo or smaller, that won't get in your way when handling your keys. You can take any sized photo and cut it into an shape you like. Make sure there is room in the top to punch a hole without getting in the way of your image.








2. Take your photo to a copy shop and have it laminated or laminate it at home. To laminate it at home, you can use laminating sheets that you iron together, or you can use clean contact paper on each side. Some people like to laminate with clean tape, however, this is a less durable and more time consuming option.


3. Use a hole punch to make a hole in the upper corner or middle of your photo. Make sure to punch the hole so that it is not removing an important part of your photo. Take the key ring and loop it through the hole in your laminated photo.


4. Decorate your keychain. There are many ways you can do this. Try hot gluing foam cutouts on your keychain. You can also use puff paints or glitter glue to add more flair to your design. If you are more advanced, try sewing an intricate bead boarder or embroidering a design into your keychain. There are many popular stickers and decals for sale that you could also use, such as self-adhesive gems and crystals.

Hook Up Delphi Skyfi Xm Radio To Yamaha Htr5940

Instructions

Select "Wi-Fi Settings" to connect to a network. Choose a network that you want to use and tap "Network Key." Enter your passkey information and tap the "Done" button.

You can also use a computer with an active Internet connection to download and send "Google Earth" to your mobile device.

6. Use your finger to navigate, zoom in and zoom out on the satellite image by using the pinch movement. Place your index finger and thumb together on the screen, then move them further apart to increase the size of the satellite image, or closer together to decrease the size of the image.


7. Tap the "Menu" button again to search for a specific location. Select the "Search" option from the menu. Type a search term, such as a business name in the field box, and tap the "Search" button. To view additional information and photos about the location, tap the red or blue dot shown on the satellite image.

ISO makes a night-and-day difference in the quality of your photos.


ISO is only three letters, but this tiny acronym represents one of the most crucial features of photography. Standing for International Organization for Standardization,this term refers to a range of numbers, usually from 100 to 1600, that indicate your camera sensor's sensitivity to light. Although many digital cameras automatically adjust ISO for you, understanding and learning to use this valuable tool enables you to capture high-quality photos in almost any lighting conditions.


Lighting


Generally, a low ISO indicates a low sensitivity to light and the higher the ISO, the higher the sensitivity to light.. An ISO setting of 100 to 200 is good to use on a bright day. When light is moderate but flash would ruin the photo, such as at sunrise or sunset, increase ISO to 400 t0 800. For photos with very little, use one of the highest ISO settings to make the most of the available light.


Grain


As you increase ISO, more 'noise' or 'grain' will appear in your photo. This can add interesting effects to photos, but generally it's unwanted. Typically found in photos when an ISO is increased to 400 or higher, grain occurs when there is not enough light to optimally illuminate the photo subject, resulting in an image with reduced sharpness and clarity. To adjust for this, use the lowest ISO setting necessary for a good quality picture. For example, in an aquarium, there is enough light so your ISO does not have to be on the absolute highest setting for a clear photo.


Movement


In addition to lighting, speed and movement of your subjects are important considerations when selecting ISO settings. A higher ISO allows you to capture well-exposed photos of moving subjects in less-than-ideal lighting conditions. Poor lighting makes it difficult to capture movement, often producing blurry pictures because the camera slows shutter speed to let in as much light as possible. Increasing ISO allows you to capture movement, resulting in faster shutter speeds because with increased sensitivity to light, exposure takes less time. When photographing moving subjects, increase ISO one setting at a time until a desirable balance of movement and exposure is captured.


Tripod


If your subjects are stationary, feel free to use whichever ISO setting you prefer. However, use a tripod whenever possible if your location requires a moderate ISO. In places such as cathedrals or museums where flash is not allowed and light is low, a tripod allows you to use higher ISO to avoid blurry pictures. If a tripod is not available, hold your camera absolutely still for three seconds after it clicks and takes the picture.

Setting Up Your Camera

Using Your Camera

For a single-lens reflex camera, you will need to use a separate lens. Some cameras are bundled with an SLR lens; others may require you to find a lens. SLR cameras by Fuji offer manual, automatic and semi-automatic modes, which allows the photographer to select his level of control over the image.


Once you have selected a shooting mode, compose the image. Point and shoot cameras may display the image on the LCD screen on the back of the camera, allowing you to compose from this screen. For SLR cameras, the camera mirror prevents a live display so the viewfinder must be used.


Press the shutter release button halfway to focus your image. This will result in the focus locking onto your subject, ready to take a sharp image. For single-lens reflex cameras, certain lenses may not have an auto focus function and need to be focused using the focusing ring on your lens.


Once the image is focused, press the shutter release to take your picture. The image will display on the LCD after it is taken, allowing for review.

Troubleshooting A Palm Treo 600







The Palm Treo 600 is a smart phone released in 2004. The Treo 600 will work well under most circumstances, but may occasionally malfunction. The device does not necessarily need to be serviced if it malfunctions. There are several common problems that can be corrected by troubleshooting the Treo 600.


Resetting the Device


The Treo 600 has three types of resets to return your device to normal working operation. The soft and system resets will not erase any data from your device unless the Treo 600's battery is very low. Plug the device into a charger if the battery is low. The hard reset will erase all of the data and downloaded applications from your device and return it to the factory presets. The hard reset should only be used if the soft and system resets are unsuccessful.


Perform a soft reset if the Treo 600 is not responding to commands. To perform a soft reset, unscrew the tip of the stylus to reveal the reset tool. Insert the reset tool into the small hole on the back of the device to press the reset button. Once reset, use the device as normal.








You may find that the Treo 600 freezes in the middle of a soft reset. This is generally caused by an error in a third-party application. Perform a system reset to unfreeze the device, after which you will be able to uninstall the application. To perform a system reset, press and hold the up arrow button. Insert the reset tool into the hole in the back of the device to press the reset button. Once the Palm logo appears on the display, release the up arrow button. You should now be able to use your device as normal.


If the system reset did not fix the problems with your device, perform a hard reset. To perform a hard reset, press and hold the wireless mode button while pressing the reset button with the reset tool. Release the wireless mode button once the Palm logo appears on the display. Press the up arrow button to confirm the hard reset.


Inaccurate Touch Screen


The Treo 600 uses a touchscreen to navigate through menus and applications. You may find over time that the touchscreen does not accurately respond to the selections you choose. When this occurs, you need to recalibrate it. To recalibrate the touchscreen, open the applications launcher and select the pick list in the upper-right corner of the screen. Next, select "All" and "Prefs" on the screen. Choose the pick list in the upper-right corner of the screen and select "Touchscreen." Instructions will appear on the screen to help you recalibrate your device.

Take Stereoscopic Pictures

Stereo pictures can be accomplished using only one camera.








The easiest and most accurate stereoscopic photographs are taken using two cameras at once -- or a single camera equipped with two lenses made specifically for stereo photography. The advantage of having two cameras is that your subject can be anything, stationary or moving, because both images are recorded at once. With only one camera, your subject is limited to only still objects, such as a building or person sitting without any motion because the two images must be taken separately. You can view your stereoscopic images by slightly crossing or relaxing your eyes to help focus on both images at once, creating a 3-D effect.


Instructions


1. Using only one camera, position your subject and prepare to take the first photograph. Keep the camera horizontal and note the distance between the camera and the subject, as well as the framing for alignment purposes, because you'll need this information later.


2. Take the first photograph -- consider this either your left or your right photograph, depending on your position. As a general rule for positioning your single camera to take stereoscopic images, the distance you move the camera from position L to position R should be roughly 1/30 of the distance between the camera and subject.


3. Take the second photograph after shifting the required distance from your first position. In many cases, the "cha cha" technique is used -- this is when you take one image with all your weight on one leg, and then shift all your weight to the other leg and take the next image. This works well if your subject is not too far away; photographing something like a mountain would require a greater position change than the "cha cha" can provide.








4. Place the two photographs side by side to view with the left on the left and right on the right. Stare at the two images and relax your eyes so that the two pictures merge into one to create a 3-D stereoscopic effect.

You can swiftly recover photos from your camera's internal memory with the right software.

2. Go to the Wondershare site and operate the Wondershare Photo Recovery program to salvage the photo's you lost in your camera's internal memory (See Resources). Wondershare Photo Recovery is a PC utility specifically developed to recover photos, music files and videos. This program is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, plus there is also a version for Mac operating systems. With Wondershare Photo Recovery, you can recover photos from your digital camera's internal memory, memory cards, as well as from your computer, USB drives and other media storage devices. This program is $29.95 as of January 2011.


3. Navigate to the Pantera Soft Web page and utilize its Flash File Recovery software to recoup photos from the internal memory in your digital camera (See Resources). The Flash File Recovery software by Pantera Soft is a digital image recovery program that helps you recover photos you have lost or deleted accidentally from your digital camera as well as flash cards. Flash File Recovery is compatible with Windows operating systems such as Windows XP, 2000, 2003, Windows NT and Windows Me. With this software, you can download a demo version to confirm that you will be able to recover your photos before purchasing the product. If you decide to download the full version, the software is $49.95 as of January 2011.

Remove A Stereo Dashboard In A 2004 Saturn Ion

If you're unfamiliar with car-audio systems, the idea of disassembling a portion of your dash so that you can remove the stereo may seem a bit intimidating. But in truth, it's often a simpler job than you may imagine. That's the case in the 2004 Saturn Ion. Removing the stereo from the dashboard will only take a few moments of your time and some simple tools.


Instructions


1. Remove any media, like CDs or cassettes, from the old radio. Turn off the ignition to the vehicle and set the parking brake.


2. Insert the narrow edge of a panel tool in the space around the edge of the black plastic trim panel that surrounds the stereo and the vehicle's climate controls. Pry outward to release the retaining clips that hold the panel on. Work around the perimeter of the panel to completely release it. Remove the panel and set it aside.


3. Loosen and remove the four screws with 7 mm hex heads on the perimeter of the stereo.


4. Grasp the stereo and pull it towards you, out of the dash. Reach around to the back of the stereo, grasp the plugs connected to the back, and pull them out. Disassembly and removal of the stereo dashboard is now complete.

Instructions


1. Familiarize yourself with the camera if it is new or someone else's. Typically there is an on/off switch, a zoom toggle (or two buttons to zoom in and out), a setting guide (use Auto if in doubt) and a shutter button, which takes the photo. Many digital cameras display the framed view on a LCD display on the back of the camera so you do not have to peer through a small hole but some do not.


2. Take a practice shot. The beauty of a digital camera is that you can immediately erase any photos you do not like or want. Taking a practice shot allows you to gauge if you are using the correct setting, if a flash is needed and if the subject is correctly framed. It also allows you to check how quickly the shutter button actually "snaps" after you press it. On digital cameras, there can be quite a delay.


3. Choose an automated setting if necessary. If you are trying to get a shot during a soccer game, the action function might improve your photo. The nighttime automatic setting can also be useful at times.


4. Get down on their level. When you are shooting small children, sit or lay on the floor so you are at their eye level.


5. Move in for a close up. Bad photos are almost always too far away and contain clutter and useless scenery around the subject. Move in close for a better photo. Some of the sweetest photos of children are extreme close-ups of their hands, eyes, mouths or even chubby baby thighs.


6. Take lots of pictures. Since you can delete at will, take more than enough photos in order to capture at least one spectacular one. There is no drawback to taking too many photos. Just keep clicking and you will be sure to have a wonderful photo in the mix.








7. Candids are better than posed shots, which are practically impossible for children to sit still for anyway. Take photos of kids sleeping, crying, exploring, walking away or throwing a temper tantrum. These are the photos you will cherish in years to come.

Receive Digital Broadcast Tv On A Boat







The Digital Broadcast transition, which took place on June 12, 2009, requires all TV broadcasters to transmit their signal in a digital format. While the switch may be complicated for broadcasters, most TVs, including LCDs and LEDs, already have the required technology to accommodate the change to digital transmission without any additional equipment. Even if you plan to watch TV on your boat, the process to receive digital broadcast is exactly the same.


Instructions








1. Insert one end of the coaxial cable into the "To TV" RF jack on the TV antenna. Screw the fastener on the end of the coaxial cable to secure the cable to the antenna. Use a bigger antenna if you plan to receive TV while out on the sea.


2. Attach the opposite side of the coaxial cable to the "ANT IN" or "TV IN" RF jack on the Input panel of your TV. If you are using a digital converter box, connect the cable to the "IN" jack on the box and connect the box to the jack on your TV with another coaxial cable.


3. Turn on the TV and the plug in the digital converter box (If you are using one), Your TV will begin receiving digital broadcast transmission immediately.
